Support Specialist Teacher

About the role

Nord Anglia Education is seeking a Support Specialist Teacher for Etqan Global Academy in Doha. The role focuses on delivering targeted academic intervention for students identified through the school’s Multi‑Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and providing ESL instruction for multilingual learners.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Tier 2 and Tier 3 literacy and mathematics interventions in small‑group and one‑to‑one settings.
• Plan and teach English as a Second Language (ESL) for identified multilingual learners.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to design and monitor differentiated instructional strategies and accommodations.
• Monitor student progress using MAP Growth data and classroom assessments.
• Develop, implement, and review Student Support Plans (SSPs) in partnership with teachers and families.
• Participate in Student Support Team meetings, case reviews, and collaborative planning sessions.
• Communicate student progress and support strategies to teachers, parents, and school leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Teaching qualification/license recognized by the school.
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive setting.
• Experience delivering literacy and/or mathematics intervention.
• Experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL/EAL) is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of MTSS/RTI, differentiated instruction, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and inclusive educational practices.
• Ability to use student assessment data to inform instruction and monitor progress.
