Teacher Assistant

About the role

The Teacher Assistant supports classroom teachers in delivering the DSGD‑approved curriculum, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment, and contributing to the broader school community.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in preparing lesson materials, bulletin boards, and classroom displays.
• Provide individual and small‑group tutoring to reinforce learning concepts.
• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, playgrounds and during field trips.
• Distribute and collect teaching materials, tests and homework.
• Support extracurricular activities, school events and parent‑teacher conferences.
• Maintain attendance records and assist with bus loading/unloading.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in teaching from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
• Teaching certification required by Qatar MOEHE.
• Commitment to child safeguarding and welfare policies.

Required skills

• Strong command of spoken and written English.
• Proficiency with standard computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
