Technical Superintendent

About the role

The Technical Superintendent ensures safety, reliability and operational efficiency of LNG/LPG vessels, supporting both direct and third‑party managers. The role involves overseeing vessel maintenance, budget control and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain safe, reliable and efficient vessel operations by supervising technical standards, maintenance and repairs.
• Prepare and monitor vessel budgets, analyse cost variations and ensure economical procurement of supplies.
• Ensure compliance with flag, class and regulatory requirements, managing certificates and surveys.
• Conduct statistical analysis and reporting on technical performance, dry‑docking and incident records.
• Lead accident investigations, risk assessments and execute Emergency Response Plan duties.

Required profile

• Class 2 competency level.
• 4‑8 years of experience, including at least 2 years aboard LNG/LPG vessels and 2 years ashore supervising repairs/maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of technical operations for large gas carriers and LNG/LPG refit projects.
