Telephone Operator – Arabic Speaker

About the role

The Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha is seeking a professional Telephone Operator who is fluent in Arabic to join its Guest Services team. You will be the first point of contact for guests calling the hotel, handling inquiries, requests and complaints with a courteous and efficient approach.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming guest calls in a friendly, professional manner and ensure callers are greeted by name.
• Resolve guest complaints or requests by coordinating with the relevant department and following up promptly.
• Maintain and update telephone lists, long‑distance call logs, fax and message records.
• Manage wake‑up call sheets and ensure timely delivery of calls.
• Operate the hotel switchboard to transfer internal and external calls quickly and accurately.
• Monitor hotel occupancy, VIP arrivals, events and group bookings to provide relevant information to callers.
• Support emergency communication procedures and coordinate with all departments as needed.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in hospitality, concierge, reception or customer‑service roles.
• Professional appearance, punctuality and reliability.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating a hotel switchboard and telephone management systems.
