Testing Engineer - Graduate Development Program

About the role

Elsewedy Electric, a manufacturer of electrical products and solutions operating in 19 countries, is offering a Testing Engineer position through its Graduate Development Program. The program is designed for graduates with 0-2 years of experience and includes job rotations, mentorships, coaching and training. It is open to 2025 and 2026 graduates.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct final inspections and testing of manufactured cables to ensure compliance with quality standards before release to the Finished Goods store.
• Supervise and assign tasks to Quality Inspectors, Technicians and Helpers.
• Prepare and update Work Instructions (WIs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and testing plans.
• Coordinate customer witness inspections and third-party testing activities.
• Inspect incoming raw materials and semi-finished products.
• Maintain, verify and calibrate electrical, high-voltage and mechanical testing equipment.
• Investigate non-conformities, recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and carry out root cause analysis.
• Work with Production, Engineering and Warehouse teams to resolve quality issues and manage product release timelines.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, workplace safety requirements and 5S standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.
• 0-2 years of experience in the same field.

Required skills

• Cable manufacturing processes, insulation and sheathing parameters, conductor resistance, high-voltage testing and partial discharge testing.
• Familiarity with GCC standards (SASO, DEWA, Kahramaa, SEC, ADDC) and international standards (IEC, BS, ASTM).
