Transport Team Leader

About the role

The Transport Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the transport operations that support Qatar Aircraft Catering services. This role ensures on‑time dispatch, safety compliance, and efficient handling of catering vehicles and equipment across a range of flight types.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Voyage Report (VR) investigations for the Transport department.
• Organise daily vacation and overtime requirements and produce related reports.
• Collate the monthly KPI reporting pack and review On‑Time Performance (OTP) data.
• Prepare and maintain the overall roster for the Transport team under the guidance of Duty Supervisors.
• Manage vehicle maintenance records, ramp safety training records, and equipment allocation.
• Ensure on‑time dispatch of flights in line with airline specifications, GLP, food‑safety standards and airport regulations.
• Oversee loading and off‑loading of complex, ULH, VIP, charter and private flights.
• Supervise equipment operators and drivers, suggest training programmes and provide feedback.

Required profile

• High School qualification with at least 2 years of relevant experience OR a Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of experience.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.
• Valid HGV driving licence.
• Experience with all types of aircraft handover and rostering.
• Ability to work flexible hours under pressure and strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of aircraft loading, catering vehicle loading and fleet management.
