Treasury Manager – Debt & Exposure Management

About the role

Based in Lusail, Qatar, the Treasury Manager will support the Treasury Director in managing debt and equity financing, liquidity risk, counterparty risk, interest rate and foreign exchange exposures, and overseeing cash‑flow forecasting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Group banking relationships for debt and equity funding requirements in accordance with policies and guidelines.
• Assess and manage financial risks, including interest‑rate, foreign‑exchange, and credit risk, through hedging and risk‑management strategies.
• Coordinate with lenders and legal counsel on LMA documentation for debt facilities.
• Monitor and analyse market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes to anticipate impacts on the organisation’s financial position and strategies.
• Provide senior‑management support on financial risk assessments, investment strategies, and capital‑allocation decisions.
• Assist the Treasury Director and CFO with balance‑sheet capital structuring and its effect on leverage ratios.
• Conduct covenant analysis and develop remediation structures related to Group debt.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years’ experience in a tier‑1 bank or corporation; GCC experience an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or economics.
• MBA, CFA, CMA, ACA or ACCA is mandatory.
• Proficiency in financial risk management, covering foreign‑exchange, interest‑rate and credit risk.
• Experience right‑sizing capital structure for a top‑tier corporate organisation.
• Hands‑on experience with debt and equity structures such as Sukuk, private placement, syndication, bilateral, bridge, club structures, bond issuance and IPO.
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements for a listed company, including KYC and AML.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience developing and implementing treasury policies, procedures and controls.
• Strong Excel skills and ERP knowledge, preferably SAP.
