Turnaround Execution Rotating Machinery Engineer

About the role

The Turnaround Execution Rotating Machinery Engineer is responsible for planning and delivering turnaround activities for critical rotating equipment such as turbines and compressors. The role ensures safety, quality and reliability while coordinating with maintenance, technical, HSE and logistics teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop scope of work and budgetary estimates for rotating machinery turnarounds based on site inputs and inspection reports.
• Maintain and update the master turnaround plan, coordinating with production, HSE, logistics and contractors.
• Monitor execution strategy, detailed scheduling, resource optimisation and communication to achieve timely completion.
• Control progress using performance indicators, trend analysis and corrective actions.
• Verify readiness of materials, manpower, tools, permits and other prerequisites before execution.
• Support mechanical completion, punch‑list clearance and pre‑start‑up verification.
• Maintain comprehensive turnaround documentation, including worklists, risk registers and close‑out reports.
• Ensure accurate creation and maintenance of SAP master data for preventive maintenance schedules.

Required profile

• Proven experience in turnaround planning and execution for rotating machinery in an industrial plant.
• Strong ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage changes during tight schedules.
• Familiarity with occupational health, safety, quality and environmental procedures.
• Excellent analytical skills for monitoring progress, risk tracking and data integrity.
