Turnaround Static Equipment Engineer

About the role

QAFCO is seeking a Turnaround Static Equipment Engineer to support the planning, execution, and close‑out of plant turnarounds. The role works closely with the Turnaround Coordination Team, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and contractors to ensure safe and efficient delivery of static equipment scope.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and implement the execution strategy for static equipment turnaround, including detailed scheduling and resource optimisation.
• Coordinate with all stakeholders to align priorities, resolve issues and recover delays.
• Track turnaround progress using schedules, performance indicators and trend analysis, applying corrective actions as needed.
• Update and manage schedules to incorporate emergent scope, ensuring proper evaluation and approval.
• Verify readiness of materials, manpower, tools, permits and other prerequisites before execution.
• Support mechanical completion, punch‑list clearance and pre‑startup readiness verification.
• Facilitate communication across teams for continuous progress tracking and issue resolution.
• Maintain comprehensive turnaround documentation, including worklists, execution plans, risk registers and close‑out reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 60 months (5 years) of experience in turnaround planning and execution for static equipment.
• Proven ability to coordinate large‑scale projects across multiple functions and external contractors.
• Strong analytical skills to monitor schedules, identify deviations and implement corrective measures.
