Underwriting Officer / Senior Officer – Property & Casualty

About the role

The Underwriting Officer / Senior Officer will service corporate clients of QIC Group, providing Property, Engineering, Casualty and General Accident insurance solutions. You will evaluate risks, determine premiums and negotiate terms to ensure high-quality coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Serve existing corporate customers for Property, Engineering, Casualty and General Accident lines.
• Underwrite risks within authority limits as defined in the Operations Manual.
• Determine appropriate premiums, coverage extents and contract conditions.
• Assess risks and issue quotations in line with underwriting guidelines and reinsurance arrangements.
• Negotiate premiums and policy terms with clients and insurance brokers.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of underwriting experience with corporate accounts in Property, Engineering, Casualty and General Accident lines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Strong technical and marketing understanding of insurance products.
• Excellent problem‑solving, negotiation and communication abilities.
