Vice President, Global Trade Services Products

About the role

QNB Group, the largest bank in the Middle East and Africa, is hiring a Vice President for its Global Trade Services products within Corporate Banking in Doha. The incumbent manages the Global Trade services products in line with the overall GTB and QNB strategy, and is ultimately responsible for the development and market of Trade Services products and value-added service propositions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive development and market of Trade Services products and value-added services, supporting revenue, profit and profitability targets set by senior management
• Implement KPIs and best practices for Global Trade Services, and act within delegated authority while monitoring staff
• Gather and analyse market and business intelligence, working with Business Intelligence and Economic Research to meet customer needs and respond to competitors
• Initiate and develop trade services products and solutions, and create product programmes, credit programmes, packaged solutions, presentations and collateral
• Work with the Global sales team to commercialise products, track product profitability and coordinate with the channels and partnerships team on e-channels and new products
• Implement a one-point-of-contact approach to customer queries and maintain SLAs with internal departments
• Prepare trade strategic and business plans, policies, standards, systems and procedures, and implement them in line with QNB guidelines and external regulations
• Manage trade product projects and prepare marketing plans, client collateral, pitchbooks and sales support material
• Set pricing structures and policies for trade products, and support the structure and closure of complex transactions
• Ensure proper credit information and risk assessment for trade clients, identify operational, market and sovereign risks, and build internal controls
• Represent QNB at industry events and conferences, and support the QNB brand image
