Vice President IT Project Management (Qatarization)

About the role

QNB Group, Qatar's first Qatari-owned commercial bank established in 1964, is recruiting a Vice President for IT Project Management. The incumbent manages the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple or large-scale IT projects and sets the plan defining the phases to be followed during implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and achieve revenue goals for projects, implement KPIs and best practices, and promote cost consciousness and efficiency
• Maintain relations with project recipients, develop full-scale project plans and communicate progress to stakeholders
• Oversee and develop project managers and senior project managers on stakeholder, requirements, resource and project planning and tracking
• Handle escalations, guide teams through roadblocks and help build project management methodologies for IT projects across the Group
• Approve project schedules and work programs, approve vendor selection and procurement, and direct the implementation of projects including business process restructure
• Review project design documents against QNB and regulatory standards, ensure quality management and conduct project risk analysis
• Monitor project performance, review team performance and encourage innovation and continuous improvement

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or Information Technology; Master's preferred
• At least 12 years of relevant experience, preferably in a highly rated international bank
• Training and certification in systems technology, management and banking
• Professional certifications such as PMP and PRINCE2
