WFSM Technician Sub-AMP (Air Force Asset Management)

About the role

The WFSM Technician Sub-AMP provides subject‑matter expertise for Air Force‑owned water and wastewater infrastructure at Al Udeid Air Base. The role supports the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program by advising managers, guiding engineering decisions, and ensuring the reliability of potable, non‑potable, and fire‑emergency water systems.

Key responsibilities

• Advise AMP Managers, Operations Flight, and Engineering Flight on investment and maintenance strategies for wastewater, storm‑water, and interior utility systems.
• Manage an asset‑lifecycle portfolio covering wells, distribution lines, treatment plants, pumps, valves, hydrants, and storage up to five feet from structures.
• Develop FYDP+3 infrastructure plans, pre‑design work, cost estimates, and project schedules.
• Conduct construction inspections, quality‑control reviews, and submittal assessments beyond standard construction‑manager expertise.
• Prepare technical reports, contract documents, fact sheets, and final construction drawings for contractor bidding.
• Act as Alternate BUILDER Point of Contact, maintaining the BUILDER database and ensuring data integrity.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in industrial and domestic wastewater systems, including lift stations, collection lines, and treatment facilities.
• Strong knowledge of potable and non‑potable water, storm‑water, and fire‑emergency service systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering standards, develop design calculations, and produce technical documentation.
• Commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance.
