Account Director - Sales

About the role

The Account Director for Sales is responsible for proactively seeking and handling sales opportunities, ensuring business is processed in a timely way so that service delivery can proceed properly. The role helps lead day-to-day sales activities, focusing on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that support sales objectives and achieving personal sales goals.

Key responsibilities

• Work with off-property sales channels so that sales efforts are coordinated and not duplicative.
• Build relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips and trade shows, and develop relationships within the community to expand the customer base.
• Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and provide accurate turnover to Event Management.
• Take part in sales calls with the sales team to acquire new business and close deals.
• Handle the operational side of booked business, such as proposals, contracts and customer correspondence.
• Identify new business to meet personal and location revenue targets.
• Analyse the market, competitors and economic trends, and close the best opportunities based on market conditions and location needs.
• Understand the primary target customer and their business issues, and deliver exceptional customer service to grow account share and drive loyalty.

Required profile

• A 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management or a related major, with 3 years of experience in sales and marketing or a related field.
• Or a 4-year bachelor's degree in one of those fields, with 1 year of experience in sales and marketing or a related field.
