AGE Mechanic – Aircraft Ground Equipment Technician

About the role

The AGE Mechanic is the primary technician responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and ensuring the serviceability of aircraft ground equipment (AGE) and flight line support equipment (FLSE). Working under USAF/Amentum technical standards, you will support mission‑critical equipment across a variety of platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspections, repairs, and serviceability checks on generators, air conditioners, heaters, light carts, air compressors, and other non‑powered AGE/FLSE.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and fuel systems using test and diagnostic equipment.
• Test and calibrate repaired items to verify reliability and adequacy of repairs.
• Prepare and inspect equipment for shipment by air, sea, or surface transport.
• Operate material handling equipment and conduct TDY travel as required by US Air Force/Amentum taskings.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to all safety, hazardous material, and quality standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing English.
• Valid home‑country driver’s license and ability to obtain a host‑nation license.
• Physical ability to lift, push, or pull at least 50 lb and work in noisy, outdoor environments.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
