Aircraft Mechanic - Galley Insert Shop (Avionics Shop)

About the role

The Aircraft Mechanic – Galley Insert Shop (Avionics Shop) is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on galley‑related components in accordance with approved technical data, Qatar Airways standards and safety procedures. The role ensures timely, high‑quality service to keep aircraft systems operational.

Key responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks within defined procedures and timeframes.
• Operate and maintain equipment and tooling specific to the galley insert workshop.
• Interpret technical information to sustain continuous operation of galley components.
• Meet productivity standards while adhering to health and safety policies.
• Ensure component rectifications comply with QCAA/EASA PART‑145 requirements and quality standards.
• Motivate the team by leading by example and communicating safety issues.

Required profile

• High School/Vocational Diploma with minimum 3 years of related experience OR Bachelor’s degree with minimum 2 years of experience.
• Degree/Diploma/License in Aircraft Maintenance.
• Basic ICAO Type II license.
• Trade‑related certificates or OEM component training.
• Basic knowledge of soldering and EWIS.
• At least one year of practical experience with galley insert components such as ovens, air chillers, freezers, trash compactors and beverage makers.
• Recognised aeronautical or technical training certificates.
