Architect Inspector – Residential Construction

About the role

We are looking for a qualified and detail‑oriented Architect Inspector to oversee residential construction projects in Doha. The role involves ensuring that all architectural works are executed in line with approved drawings, specifications, local regulations and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections of architectural works including finishes, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, façade works and fit‑out activities.
• Verify compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, method statements and material submittals.
• Monitor contractor performance and workmanship to maintain quality standards.
• Ensure works adhere to Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and relevant authority regulations.
• Review shop drawings and material submittals related to architectural works.
• Raise Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Site Observation Reports (SORs) as required.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP and other disciplines to avoid conflicts and ensure smooth site progress.
• Maintain health and safety standards on site.
• Participate in snagging, de‑snagging and project handover processes.
• Attend site meetings and provide technical input.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
• 7–10 years of construction supervision experience, preferably on residential villa and apartment projects in Qatar or the GCC.
• Strong knowledge of finishing works and architectural detailing.
• Familiarity with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and local authority requirements.
• Experience with engineering consultancy firms is preferred.
• MMUP/UPDA registration preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
