Assistant Butler Service Desk Manager

About the role

The Assistant Butler Service Desk Manager supports Marriott guests by handling all telephone and service‑desk interactions, ensuring swift resolution of requests and maintaining high standards of hospitality. This position also assists the Service Desk Manager in supervising the team and upholding operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Answer, record, and process guest calls, requests, and concerns, routing them to the appropriate department.
• Operate the telephone switchboard, monitor busy or unanswered lines, and manage guest room message lights.
• Verify and adjust billing, log incidents, and maintain accurate documentation in the computer system.
• Provide guests with directions, property information, and assistance for individuals with disabilities.
• Support management in training, scheduling, evaluating, motivating, and coaching service‑desk staff.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, report safety issues, and maintain a professional appearance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related hospitality or service‑desk experience.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating telephone switchboard systems.
• Ability to use computer and POS systems for logging and tracking requests.
