Assistant Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Assistant Manager supports the Housekeeping Manager in daily operations at Al Najada Doha Hotel. This position ensures guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces are clean, orderly, and meet the hotel’s quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating daily housekeeping operations.
• Supervise and motivate housekeeping staff, including room attendants, public area attendants, and linen room personnel.
• Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and employee work areas for cleanliness and maintenance.
• Manage inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities.
• Help schedule staff shifts, manage attendance, and participate in performance reviews.
• Train new team members and deliver refresher training sessions.
• Handle guest complaints and special requests promptly and courteously.
• Support compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure seamless guest service.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of housekeeping experience, with minimum 1 year in a supervisory or assistant managerial role.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of housekeeping systems.
• Familiarity with hotel property management systems such as Opera or HotSOS (a plus).
