Assistant Medical Attaché (International)

About the role

The Assistant Medical Attaché will act as the primary representative of Qatar’s health interests at designated medical offices abroad (Bonn, London, Thailand, Washington). This position supports global health diplomacy by ensuring Qatari patients receive coordinated care and by providing medical advice to local partners.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for Qatari patients in the assigned foreign medical office.
• Monitor and follow up on treatment processes, ensuring continuity of care.
• Provide medical advisory services to local healthcare providers as needed.
• Facilitate communication between Qatar’s health authorities and foreign medical institutions.
• Represent Qatar in health‑related diplomatic engagements and meetings.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience in the healthcare sector.
• At least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Medicine, Biology, Health Care Management, Public Health or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to work in multicultural environments.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of medical protocols and patient care pathways.
• Excellent understanding of international health regulations.
• Proficiency in coordinating cross‑border healthcare services.
