Assistant Pastry Chef

About the role

The Ned Doha is seeking a talented Assistant Pastry Chef to support its Executive Pastry Chef in delivering world‑class desserts and baked creations. This position plays a key part in maintaining the high standards of quality, presentation, and consistency expected at this luxury hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and presenting high‑quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
• Support menu development and seasonal pastry offerings.
• Maintain consistency, quality, and attention to detail across all pastry items.
• Uphold hygiene and food‑safety standards in line with company policies.
• Monitor stock levels and help with inventory control.
• Train and support junior team members when required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a luxury hotel or fine‑dining environment.
• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking, and dessert presentation.
• Creativity and passion for pastry arts.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑standard kitchen.
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Culinary or pastry qualification preferred.
