Assistant/Associate Professor in Cybersecurity

About the role

The Department of Information Technology at the Community College of Qatar is looking for an Assistant/Associate Professor in Cybersecurity to strengthen its teaching provision and support the department's academic growth. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in cybersecurity and related fields, combining theory with practice, and will help expand the Cybersecurity teaching team.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate cybersecurity courses at various times and locations, following the department's instructional plan and allocated contact hours.
• Develop syllabi, plan lessons and assignments, and design assessments to measure student progress.
• Create and use teaching materials that help students meet course objectives, and review textbooks and learning resources.
• Evaluate students, keep accurate records, and submit reports and forms on time.
• Hold regular office hours and continuously improve instruction through innovative methods.
• Take part in department and college-wide professional development activities and committees.

Required profile

• Demonstrated skill and knowledge in teaching the discipline.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both Arabic and English.
• Professional, ethical and responsible interaction with students, faculty and staff.
