Avionics Junior Supervisor – Base Maintenance

About the role

The Avionics Junior Supervisor will support the Senior Supervisor in delivering high‑quality base maintenance for Typhoon aircraft and components. This role combines hands‑on technical work with team leadership in a fast‑paced aerospace environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed maintenance, inspection and diagnostic activities on Typhoon aircraft or components, ensuring compliance with approved technical data.
• Supervise and coordinate a team of technicians, monitoring progress, escalating issues and ensuring delivery targets are met.
• Maintain personal and team log books, sign off on OJT activities, and manage Part 145 authorisations and competency approvals.
• Resolve faults, manage configuration changes, and raise work cards for any newly discovered issues.
• Provide guidance, mentorship and formal assessments to less‑experienced team members.

Required profile

• Experienced avionic technician with a solid understanding of the Typhoon approved data set.
• Proven ability to analyse and diagnose equipment faults and follow diagnostic procedures.
• Strong supervisory skills, capable of ensuring staff competence and adherence to regulatory frameworks.
• Flexible, proactive attitude and ability to work effectively within a diverse, dynamic team.
