About the role
The Banquet Cook II prepares and presents banquet dishes at The Ritz‑Carlton in Doha, ensuring high‑quality food service for large events and buffets.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare plate and platter presentations for banquets and set up action stations.
- Carve buffet meats to guest specifications and support buffet stock levels.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers to cook menu items.
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling and storing food.
- Weigh, measure and mix ingredients accurately.
- Cook foods according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and test for doneness.
- Serve food in proper portions onto appropriate receptacles.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, tools, knives and equipment, and follow safety policies.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Minimum two years of related culinary experience, preferably in banquet or buffet settings.
