About the role
The Bodyshop Manager leads all activities within an automotive body repair workshop, ensuring repairs are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This role balances operational efficiency with customer satisfaction and profitability.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day body shop operations and allocate work to technicians, painters, estimators and support staff.
- Monitor repair quality to meet manufacturer standards and company policies.
- Review and approve repair estimates and procedures.
- Coordinate with insurance companies, surveyors and customers on repair approvals and progress.
- Manage spare‑parts ordering and inventory to guarantee availability.
- Track workshop productivity, labor utilization and efficiency.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized workshop environment in compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Address customer concerns professionally to ensure high satisfaction.
- Conduct staff performance evaluations and identify training needs.
- Prepare operational, productivity and monthly performance reports.
- Control expenses and work toward revenue and profitability targets.
- Ensure proper maintenance of workshop equipment and tools.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing an automotive body repair workshop or similar facility.
- Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
- Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with insurance representatives, surveyors and customers.
- Commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
