Business Analyst – Banking & BIAN

About the role

Madre Integrated Engineering is looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong banking knowledge and practical BIAN (Banking Industry Architecture Network) experience. The role gathers and analyzes requirements, designs process improvements and uses BIAN frameworks and service domains so that solutions align with global banking standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with enterprise architects and business stakeholders to define, document and validate business capabilities and requirements.
• Use the BIAN Service Landscape and Service Domains to structure banking capabilities and align with industry standards.
• Help develop and maintain Enterprise Architecture artifacts such as Business Capability Models, Value Streams and Process Maps, and Application and Data Architecture mappings.
• Support gap analysis between current and target-state architectures, highlighting dependencies, risks and opportunities.
• Translate business requirements into architecture-aligned functional and non-functional requirements.
• Work with solution architects and project teams so solutions follow EA guidelines and the target architecture.
• Contribute to architecture governance and support regulatory, risk and compliance requirements (KYC, AML, Basel III, ISO standards).
• Act as a liaison between business teams, architects and technology delivery teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science or Information Systems (Master's preferred).
• 5-8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in banking or financial services.
• Practical BIAN experience: Service Landscape, Service Domains and Business Scenarios, and Business Capability Mapping.
• Hands-on experience in core banking systems (Temenos, Flexcube, Finacle), digital banking and payments, risk, compliance reporting, trade finance, treasury or cards/payments systems.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of banking products, processes and regulations.
• Proficiency in BPMN, UML, process flows and user journeys; ability to model requirements with BIAN reference models.
• Data analysis with Excel, SQL and BI tools.
• Communication, facilitation and stakeholder management.
