Business Support Officer

About the role

The Business Support Officer acts as the central point for coordinating workforce, logistics and budgeting activities across divisions and business units, ensuring consistency with HR processes and financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain all department and division workforce movement requirements, aligning with HR business processes and approved budgets.
• Liaise with Cost Controllers to monitor workforce budgets, track position counts, and resolve any anomalies.
• Review vacancies, collaborate with hiring managers and recruitment teams to develop sourcing plans, and initiate recruitment or personnel movement processes.
• Assist with periodic review and revalidation of technical competencies, preparing reports on individual training plans and progress.
• Facilitate succession planning, generate reports on employee retention and demographics, and provide orientation briefings for new hires.
• Support the National Development Program by identifying positions for nationals within the assets organization for IDP and TPP.
• Coordinate logistical activities across multiple assets, including housing, office moves, transportation, IT requirements, and supply demands.
• Help the department apply and implement key management directives, requests, or initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in an administration or planning role within the oil and gas industry.
