Capital Planning & Portfolio Manager – FM

About the role

The successful candidate will lead the development, prioritisation and governance of the Facilities Management Capital and REPEX plans for an international engineering consultancy in Qatar. This role ensures the investment portfolio aligns with operational priorities and approved funding.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual and multi‑year Capital and REPEX planning cycles.
• Establish a portfolio framework for project evaluation, prioritisation, approval and monitoring.
• Coordinate with FM stakeholders to identify capital renewal, replacement and infrastructure investment requirements.
• Prepare and consolidate investment plans, business cases, budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow requirements.
• Manage portfolio and budget performance for a programme valued at approximately QAR 1 billion, including expenditure, commitments, risks and forecast accuracy.
• Provide concise executive dashboards and reports covering delivery status, financial performance, risks and decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Finance or Business Administration.
• Demonstrated experience in capital planning, REPEX planning, portfolio management or investment planning within a large organisation.
• Proven experience managing significant capital budgets, forecasts, business cases and executive reporting.
• Experience in an asset‑intensive environment such as aviation, facilities management, infrastructure, transport or utilities is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Power BI or equivalent reporting tools.
