Category Manager – Non‑Food (Qatar)

About the role

Talabat is seeking a Category Manager – Non‑Food to lead the growth of its tMart grocery store in Qatar. You will own the end‑to‑end management of non‑food categories, driving assortment, pricing, promotions and supplier relationships to deliver strong commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of category management, including assortment planning, pricing, offers and supply chain coordination.
• Monitor economic performance (sales, gross margin, P&L) and ensure alignment with the company’s commercial strategy.
• Develop and implement category plans, pricing strategies and promotional calendars.
• Collaborate with operations teams on flows, fixtures, tools and templates.
• Negotiate with local suppliers, manage contracts, and resolve any supplier issues.
• Conduct market price audits, collect pricing data and adjust prices according to guidelines.
• Analyse consumer preferences, competitor activity and trends to optimise promotions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing multiple product categories for large retailers (FMCG) in an international environment.
• Proven ability to build teams and lead cross‑functional projects at scale.
• Highly detail‑oriented, structured and capable of prioritising tasks effectively.
• Hands‑on attitude, willing to support operations on the warehouse floor when needed.
