Chef de Partie – Doha

About the role

Prepare special meals and substitute items, regulate cooking equipment, and ensure proper portioning, garnish and food quality at the St. Regis Residence in Doha.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality, presentation standards and food preparation checklists, including cold foods.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters; pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator.
• Maintain food logs, monitor quality and quantity of prepared food, and inform the Chef of excess items for daily specials.
• Communicate menu specials and out‑of‑stock items to Food & Beverage service staff.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining and motivating employees.
• Follow all company safety and security policies, report maintenance needs, accidents or unsafe conditions, and ensure a clean, professional appearance.
• Stand, walk, lift and move objects up to 25 lb and perform other reasonable duties as requested.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of related culinary experience.
• Technical, trade or vocational school education preferred.
• No supervisory experience required.
