Chef-Head

About the role

The St. Regis Residence in Marsa Arabia Island, Doha, Qatar is looking for a full-time Chef-Head (management position). The role is accountable for the overall success of daily kitchen operations, leading the staff and managing all food-related functions while improving guest and employee satisfaction within the operating budget.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all kitchen areas and shift operations, ensuring consistent, high-quality food and compliance with food safety, sanitation and brand standards.
• Develop and create menus and recipes, check the quality of raw and cooked products and present decorative food displays.
• Maintain purchasing, receiving, food storage and portion control standards, and keep department equipment in good working order.
• Lead and develop the culinary team, manage day-to-day operations, schedule staff and track attendance.
• Handle guest complaints, coach staff on guest expectations and provide ongoing training on menu items.
• Manage budgets, order uniforms and review staffing levels to meet guest, operational and financial goals.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED, or a 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management or a related field.
• 4 years of culinary, food and beverage or related experience, or 2 years of such experience with a relevant degree.
