Clinical Informatics Specialist

About the role

The Clinical Informatics Specialist supports the development, implementation, adoption, optimization, training, and management of healthcare technology solutions. The role aims to improve clinical practice by ensuring effective use of informatics tools that support patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate informatics solutions for quality, efficiency and effectiveness, applying comprehensive testing methodologies.
• Analyze current clinical and business processes, document current‑state and future‑state workflows, and recommend improvements.
• Support implementation, optimization and adoption of clinical systems, acting as a primary contact for user questions and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with vendors and technical teams on system integration and implementation activities.
• Identify data issues, conduct higher‑level analysis, and provide recommendations to governance bodies.
• Interpret healthcare legislation, industry trends and emerging standards to inform organizational practices.
• Develop and deliver training for healthcare providers and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure successful system adoption.
• Lead large‑scale healthcare technology projects, prepare business cases, cost estimates, ROI analyses and project status reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Clinical Informatics, Health Information Management, or related discipline).
• Experience working with clinical information systems and workflow optimization.
• Strong analytical abilities and understanding of healthcare regulations and standards.
• Proven ability to collaborate with clinical and technical stakeholders.
