Coach / Assessor - Lifting Operations VOC

About the role

EnerMech is seeking a qualified Lifting Trainer to be deployed immediately to Qatar. The VOC Coach/Assessor will lead competence assessments, coaching, and verification activities for crane operators, lifting supervisors, banksmen, and other lifting personnel on on‑shore construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct workplace‑based competence assessments during live lifting operations.
• Perform simulator‑supported evaluations of technical knowledge, lifting behaviours and procedural compliance.
• Assess communication, teamwork and adherence to Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) and lifting standards.
• Document assessment results, scoring reports and competency verification.
• Deliver targeted coaching and remediation for personnel classified as “Not Yet Competent”.
• Support reassessment, gap‑closure activities and provide performance improvement recommendations.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Lifting Trainer or assessor in on‑shore construction environments.
• Familiarity with the QE LNG Verification of Competence (VOC) program and related standards.
• Strong safety orientation and ability to work on international projects.
• Willingness to relocate to Qatar for immediate deployment.
