Coffee Specialist

About the role

The Coffee Specialist ensures that every cup of coffee meets the brand’s quality standards from the roast profile to the final brew. This hands‑on position will set up and qualify a local Qatar roasting partner, run day‑to‑day coffee operations, and work directly with clients on cuppings, training and technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain roast profiles and blend specifications for all Qatar‑supplied SKUs, starting with CB Coffee Espresso Perfecto.
• Develop new blends and private‑label products for joint‑venture clients, updating specifications based on feedback and green‑bean availability.
• Qualify, audit and approve the Qatar roasting partner, ensuring cup profile, packaging, Arabic labeling, batch coding and expiry dates meet standards.
• Monitor food‑safety compliance (MOPH, Baladiya) and oversee the transition from Dubai‑roasted supply to local production while preserving quality.
• Conduct regular cupping, green‑bean, production‑batch and shelf‑life checks; keep detailed quality records for each batch.
• Run client cuppings, provide barista training, equipment support, recipe guidance and grinder calibration.
• Support sales with technical input, sample coordination and customized coffee solutions, and resolve client‑reported issues together with QC and sourcing teams.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in coffee roasting, blend development and quality control.
• Ability to audit and manage a contract roaster and ensure compliance with local food‑safety regulations.
• Strong client‑facing skills for training, cupping sessions and issue resolution.
