Commis I – Kitchen Assistant

About the role

The Commis I supports the culinary team at Rosewood Doha, ensuring high‑quality food preparation and service while maintaining strict hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare vegetables, fruits, meats, poultry and seafood by washing, peeling, cutting, seeding and breading as required.
• Assist chefs with quality control, ingredient weighing, measuring and buffet set‑up.
• Transport pans, kettles and trays between workstations, stove and refrigerator.
• Maintain sanitation standards, clean work areas, equipment and utensils, and manage waste disposal.
• Store foods correctly, rotate stock, label items and report any spoilage.

Required profile

• Ability to work flexibly across all kitchen sections and support colleagues as needed.
• Commitment to brand standards, company policies and a guest‑focused mindset.
• Willingness to take on additional tasks within a reasonable framework.

Required skills

• Basic food preparation techniques (washing, peeling, cutting, seeding, breading).
• Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety procedures.
• Ability to handle and transport kitchen equipment safely.
