Commis I – Kitchen Assistant

About the role

The Commis I supports daily food preparation in a luxury hotel kitchen, ensuring standards of quality, hygiene and cost control are met. You will work closely with the Chef de Partie and Demi Chef de Partie to deliver consistent, high‑quality dishes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in daily operations and follow menu specifications.
• Prepare daily mise‑en‑place and produce food across main kitchen and satellite stations.
• Maintain hygienic work areas and control food stock and costs.
• Coordinate with other sections to manage cleanliness, wastage and cost control.

Required profile

• Experience in a luxury hotel kitchen environment.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, diverse setting with strong interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic; additional languages are a plus.
• Result‑oriented, self‑motivated with a positive attitude.

• Ability to follow menu specifications and control food stock.
