Commis III – Italian Restaurant

About the role

The W Doha hotel is seeking a motivated Commis III to support the Italian restaurant kitchen. You will work closely with the culinary team to ensure ingredients are prepared, dishes are cooked to standard, and the work station remains clean and organized.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring and mixing.
• Cook and assemble dishes according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely.
• Test and monitor food for proper cooking and quality.
• Prepare cold foods and plate portions onto appropriate receptacles.
• Set‑up and break‑down the work station, clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools and equipment.
• Check and record temperatures of appliances and food.
• Follow all company safety, security and hygiene policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a similar food‑preparation or kitchen role.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift objects up to 25 lb.

Required skills

• Food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Operation of kitchen equipment (ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, fryers).
• Measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients accurately.
• Temperature monitoring and food safety awareness.
