Commodity Trading Operator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Commodity Trading Operator to join our trading and logistics team. The role is responsible for the safe, efficient and cost‑effective execution of physical energy trades across crude oil and refined product portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end operations for crude oil and refined product trades, from nomination to settlement.
• Review and validate commercial contracts to ensure operational feasibility and compliance with risk limits.
• Monitor and reconcile inventory across multiple terminals, ensuring contractual storage terms are met.
• Nominate and clear vessels, issue voyage orders, and manage spot and time charter operations.
• Optimize vessel rotations, loading plans and voyage economics while tracking performance metrics such as speed, consumption and demurrage.
• Oversee terminal loading and discharge activities, preparing stowage plans and ensuring safety and slot management.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and mitigate commercial risk throughout the cargo lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience in petroleum logistics and physical energy trade execution.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, international environment.
• Excellent coordination skills across traders, shipowners, brokers, port agents and internal teams.
