Senior Procurement Specialist

About the role

A leading organization in Qatar is hiring an experienced Senior Specialist - Procurement to manage end-to-end procurement activities and deliver cost-effective, compliant and timely sourcing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sourcing, tendering, commercial evaluation and contract award activities.
• Develop procurement strategies for goods, services, consultancy engagements and corporate contracts.
• Evaluate supplier proposals, quotations, commercial terms and total cost of ownership.
• Facilitate supplier negotiations to improve pricing, service levels, delivery terms and contractual protections.
• Coordinate tender evaluations, approvals, purchase orders, contract execution and supplier-performance reviews.
• Analyze procurement expenditure, market conditions, supplier risks and cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare procurement reports on savings, cycle times, contract status, supplier performance and compliance.
• Improve procurement procedures, templates, systems, controls and reporting tools.
• Train and support stakeholders on procurement planning, tendering, evaluation and governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant procurement experience.
• Strong experience in strategic sourcing, competitive tendering, commercial evaluation, contract administration and supplier negotiation.
• Experience with procurement or ERP platforms such as Oracle Procurement, SAP Ariba, SAP S/4HANA or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• CIPS or CPSM qualification preferred.
• Excellent English; Arabic and knowledge of the Qatari supplier market are advantageous.
