Construction Supervisor – Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Supervisor – Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) to lead on‑site construction activities for major onshore oil and gas projects in Qatar. The role ensures safe, efficient execution of all electrical and instrumentation works while meeting project specifications, quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the HSE leader on site, enforce safety regulations, permit‑to‑work, isolation and lock‑out/tag‑out procedures.
• Supervise EPIC contractors, coordinate mobilization, and monitor daily progress against schedules.
• Inspect and approve contractor method statements, risk assessments and material requisitions.
• Oversee installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems, instrumentation, cable trays, power/control/fiber optic cabling, fire alarm, CCTV, telecom, control panels, earthing and lightning protection.
• Manage cathodic protection installations, cable routing, splicing, termination and loop testing.
• Attend and sign off RFIs, witness SAT and pre‑commissioning activities, conduct system walk‑downs and lead Mechanical Completion.
• Prepare punch lists, maintain daily progress reports and support as‑built documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• 12‑15 years of E&I construction experience on onshore oil & gas projects.
• Proven experience in greenfield and brownfield environments, live plant tie‑ins and substation works.
