Consultant Otolaryngology (ENT) – Senior Clinical Role

About the role

The Consultant – Otolaryngology provides high‑quality, consultant‑level care for patients with ear, nose, throat, head and neck conditions, delivering both medical and surgical management.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, treat and follow‑up ENT patients across outpatient, inpatient, emergency and referral settings.
• Perform diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical procedures within approved clinical privileges.
• Manage complex ENT cases and offer specialist consultation to other departments.
• Participate in on‑call and emergency coverage, clinical audits, morbidity‑mortality reviews and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to departmental education, research and continuous professional development while ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with DHP regulations and accreditation standards.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD, MBChB or equivalent) and recognized postgraduate specialty qualification in Otolaryngology.
• Minimum 5–7 years post‑specialty experience, preferably in a tertiary or large acute‑care hospital.
• Current or recent independent consultant‑level practice, with GCC or JCI‑accredited experience considered an advantage.
• Strong clinical judgment, leadership, mentoring and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic is a plus.
