About the role
The Controller I acts as the strategic financial business leader for the property, developing and implementing financial strategies that support the brand’s service objectives and maximize return on investment.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze financial data, market trends and forecast sales versus expenses to create annual budget plans.
- Monitor actual sales against projections, identify profit improvement opportunities and recommend cost‑benefit actions.
- Ensure strong accounting controls, safeguard assets and oversee internal, external and regulatory audit processes.
- Lead and develop the accounting team, assign clear accountability and hold staff to performance standards.
- Manage tax compliance, ensure accurate P&L reporting and adherence to SOPs.
- Provide financial insight to owners, GM and executive committee, attend owner meetings and communicate results clearly.
Required profile
- 4‑year bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (or master’s degree with no experience required).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in finance and accounting or a related professional area.
