Cost Control Lead

About the role

The Cost Control Lead will provide executive‑level advice and governance for the T4&T6 Restoration Project, a fast‑tracked brownfield asset repair initiative in Qatar. The role ensures real‑time cost data integrity, supports strategic funding decisions, and safeguards financial performance across all project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high‑level project controls frameworks, funding approval guidelines, and macro‑reporting procedures.
• Manage multi‑million‑dollar budget models, track complex cost logs, and analyse daily trends to protect shareholder funding.
• Ensure cost data integrity, labour verification, equipment utilisation, and financial status reporting for Time & Resources and Lump Sum EPC contracts.
• Provide strategic guidance on cost allocation, planning, risk, change, and claim management.
• Collaborate with multi‑lingual contract teams, EPC contractors, and local subcontractors to deliver accurate cost performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years experience in business‑related functions, including at least 4 years in the Oil & Gas industry.
• At least 1 year experience in a supervisory or oversight role of contractors/sub‑contractors.
• Proven experience managing EPC Lump Sum contracts from an Owner’s perspective.
• Knowledge of Qatar LNG practices and cost‑control expectations.
• Experience with ERP and Project Management systems such as SAP.
