About the role
A leading regional healthcare group is looking for a Country Purchasing Manager to lead procurement activities in Qatar. Reporting to the Group Supply Chain Director, you will align local purchasing with the group’s overall supply‑chain strategy, driving cost efficiency and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Group Supply Chain Director in localising the group procurement strategy.
- Manage procurement budgets, materials spend and CAPEX for the country.
- Lead the local purchasing team and ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.
- Oversee supplier selection, contract negotiations and legal/compliance matters.
- Run the RFQ process, evaluate vendor proposals and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
- Use ERP systems to create purchase orders and maintain procurement data.
- Monitor SLAs, master supply agreements and vendor performance.
- Prepare purchasing forecasts, reports and quarterly performance updates.
- Lead special projects assigned by the Group Supply Chain Director.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in a purchasing leadership role.
- Valid residency and work permit for Qatar.
- Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with ERP procurement systems.
