Cybersecurity Support Specialist

About the role

Trace Systems is seeking a Cybersecurity Support Specialist to join its team in Qatar. The role ensures the availability, integrity, confidentiality and non‑repudiation of classified and unclassified information systems for the 160th Signal Brigade.

Key responsibilities

• Review and compile vulnerability and configuration status reports of Automated Information Systems (AIS) and recommend corrective actions.
• Assess authorization requests for compliance with DoDI 8510.01 and the Risk Management Framework, preparing DISA connection authorization packages.
• Maintain documentation of requests, approvals, and monthly IA control validations in accordance with AR 25‑400‑2 and related directives.
• Support network architecture updates, MPLS and JRSS revisions, and prepare network diagrams, routing policies and equipment testing recommendations.
• Conduct market research and provide hardware/software recommendations based on DISA, NSA, NIAP and DoD standards.
• Track cybersecurity training, certifications and recertifications for the brigade and produce weekly situational awareness reports.

Required profile

• Active US Government Secret clearance and US citizenship.
• DoD 8570 IAM Level II certification (CAP, CASP, CISM, CISSP or GSLC) maintained throughout the contract.
• Practical experience supporting MPLS/IP/VPN networks in a carrier environment.
• Knowledge of DoD and Army IA regulations (AR 25‑2, AR 380.5, DoDI 8500.01, DoDI 8510.01, etc.).
• Ability to produce clear written and verbal documentation.
