About the role
As a Safety Engineer you will be responsible for upholding health, safety and environmental standards across GEC projects, working closely with project teams to ensure regulatory compliance and foster a strong safety culture.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and monitor HSE practices across GEC projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and enforce corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees.
- Integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.
- Investigate incidents and near‑misses, reporting findings and recommending preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate HSE records and documentation to meet reporting requirements.
- Liaise with government bodies and regulatory authorities to ensure ongoing compliance.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety Management or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, CSP) and MMUP registration preferred.
Required skills
- Proficiency with HSE management software and reporting tools.
- Experience conducting safety audits and developing safety programs.
