About the role

A Demi Chef De Partie position in the food and beverage and culinary field, based in Al Shahaniya, Doha, Qatar. The role covers food preparation, cooking and kitchen housekeeping, and is listed as full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping and storing food, and wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh, measure and mix ingredients, then prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards and a food preparation checklist.
• Prepare cold foods and operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Test foods to check they are cooked sufficiently and monitor food quality during preparation.
• Set up and break down the workstation and serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles.
• Wash and disinfect the kitchen area, tables, tools, knives and equipment, and check that appliance and food temperatures are correct.
• Follow company and safety and security policies, report maintenance needs, accidents and injuries, complete safety training and certifications, and keep a clean, professional appearance.
• Work in a team, support colleagues and maintain positive working relationships.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of related work experience preferred.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Physical demands include standing, sitting or walking for long periods, reaching overhead and below the knees, and lifting objects up to 25 pounds.
