Development Engineer Level 2 – Avionics (CAMO)

About the role

Qatar Airways is seeking a Development Engineer Level 2 – Avionics to join the CAMO Engineering department in Doha. The role ensures compliance with continuing airworthiness requirements and drives reliability improvements for aircraft systems and components.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate airworthiness and service documentation (AD, CN, SB, SIL, OIT, AOTNSB, TFU, FTD) issued by authorities, manufacturers or vendors and take timely actions.
• Analyse reliability alerts, identify solutions and propose implementation plans to maintain optimal reliability and cost levels.
• Assist maintenance and internal/external customers in resolving technical queries, repetitive defects and AOG support.
• Initiate and process deviations to certified aircraft configuration or approved maintenance data.
• Evaluate technical and commercial proposals, retrofit modification orders and engineering change requests, providing recommendations.
• Conduct technical investigations into TORs, MORs and ASRs and recommend corrective and preventative measures.
• Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers and internal departments to define and implement solutions.
• Review industry experience related to aircraft and components in service to enhance service levels and reliability.
• Prepare product specifications and support commercial activities such as RFI, RFP and purchase agreements.
• Review engineering data and drawings for accuracy before embodiment and evaluate specifications of new or used aircraft and equipment.
