Director of Facility Management

About the role

The Director of Facility Management will lead the engineering and maintenance functions across the hotel, waterpark and beach club at Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island North. This senior position combines strategic leadership with hands‑on technical oversight to ensure safe, efficient, and guest‑focused operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and oversee all facility, engineering and maintenance activities for the resort.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programmes for building systems, attractions and infrastructure.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, health & safety, environmental standards and brand guidelines.
• Manage annual operating and capital budgets, driving cost optimisation, sustainability and energy‑management initiatives.
• Plan, execute and deliver capital projects, renovations and facility enhancements with minimal guest disruption.
• Establish performance metrics, KPIs, asset‑lifecycle management and service‑level agreements.
• Oversee timely resolution of maintenance requests, emergencies and operational incidents.
• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to maintain high asset standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Facilities Management or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 8–10 years progressive experience in engineering or facilities management, including 5 years in a senior leadership role within a luxury hotel, integrated resort or waterpark.
• Strong knowledge of hotel engineering systems, waterpark mechanical systems, water treatment, MEP services, life‑safety systems and building automation.
• Proven experience in strategic facilities management, asset management, capital planning and project delivery.
• Demonstrated expertise in budget management, financial planning, procurement and contract/vendor management.
