Director of Finance

About the role

The Director of Finance will provide hands‑on financial oversight and strategic analysis for Rixos Qetaifan Island North, a new 345‑key hotel and resort development in Qatar. Reporting to the Managing Director, the role will ensure accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and support long‑term growth and sustainability of the property.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll and financial reporting.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Maintain robust internal controls and coordinate annual audits, tax filings and regulatory compliance.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, ongoing forecasting and develop financial models for strategic decisions.
• Provide variance analysis, actionable insights and support department heads in budget management.
• Partner with leadership on long‑range planning, capital investments, construction and renovation projects, including cash‑flow and ROI analysis.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships and liquidity to meet operational and capital needs.
• Supervise the Accounting Manager and finance team, fostering a collaborative and accountable finance function.

Required profile

• Minimum 5‑10 years of progressive experience in a senior finance leadership role (Director of Finance or equivalent).
• Proven track record in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audit coordination and cash management.
• Experience overseeing large‑scale hospitality or development projects is desirable.
• Strong analytical abilities and excellent communication skills to present financial data to ownership and senior leadership.
